going public?

Karen, Christy, and I have been noodling about with these blogs, getting nowhere serious -- yet.

Yesterday we came up with prompts for the various Orientation sessions, to get people started and continuing to write -- we hope.

I had wanted to get this far before writing to Brian and Barclay about hooking up the teachers starting out in our various programs -- but they beat me to it.

(What is the figure for ending each sentence with a qualifier -- anacoluthon, perhaps the closest?)

So it is time to step out, and to see where we go.

fire
wow anne your journal is beautiful! wow does that make it a pleasure to be here. i am so sorry that you have to be enduring another fire out there. kristin said jill made an tobacco offering on the beach when she left, for good winds and rain. and down it comes.

Re: fire
Phew -- thanks to Jill for doing that. Channel 6 more recently is reporting that 500 acres have burned, but no “structures,” and that the fire is now 60% contained.
Dennis should be going out soon to check. I am nervously curious to see what has burned. Driving out to the lake is an exercise in noticing new logging, wind work, berry pickers, and now (once again) fire blackening.
